In April 2027, representatives from Sweden, Switzerland and Poland will meet in Bern, Switzerland, for their annual consultations.

  • April 2026: CAPITAL LEVEL CONSULTATIONS 2026

    In April 2026, representatives of Sweden, Switzerland and Poland met in Warsaw, Poland for their annual consultations. Besides discussions about the situation on and around the Korean Peninsula and NNSC’s work as the sole independent and impartial body of the Armistice Agreement, key topics of discussion were the “Outreach Initiative”, the diplomatic initiative to revitalize communication between the parties of the Armistice Agreement launched in 2024, the newly launched NNSC E-Learning to support NNSC’s armistice education efforts for military personal deployed in the Demilitarized Zone as well as the role of NNSC in case of cyber incidents. 

  • April 2025: CHANGE OF RESPONSIBILITY SWEDISH DELEGATION

    In April 2025, in honor of the outgoing and incoming Swedish Members, the traditional Swedish Bell Hill Ceremony in the NNSC Camp in Panmunjom took place. Invited guests took the opportunity to participate in this historical event: saying good-bye to the first female NNSC Member in service of the Armistice in over 70 years, Major General Lena Persson Herlitz, and to welcome the new Swedish Member to the NNSC, Major General Fredrik Stålberg

  • April 2025: CAPITAL LEVEL CONSULTATIONS 2025

    In April 2025, representatives of Sweden, Switzerland and Poland met in Stockholm, Sweden for their annual consultations. Besides discussions about the security situation on and around the Korean Peninsula, about the NNSC and its impact on the Korean Peninsula as well as its role as the sole independent and impartial institution of the Armistice Agreement, the recently launched “Outreach Initiative” was presented. The goal of this diplomatic initiative is to revitalize communication between the involved parties of the Armistice Agreement.
